The internship is a great way to find out how we work and see for yourself the ways in which experienced lawyers work and gain valuable legal work experience during your time with us. You will have the opportunity to join client meetings and calls, conduct research, practice legal drafting and work alongside our experienced lawyers.
The OBS Legal Department enables business growth by providing practical/commercial advice and proactive solutions to long-term challenges, comprising: • In-house support on all legal issues, in particular in connection with commercial matters, disputes and labour law; • actively participate in negotiations with third parties and provide constructive solutions that protect the OBS position; • ensure compliance with rules and regulations of numerous countries and promote Compliance within the organization; and • provide regulatory support, manage the license portfolio and represent OBS with Regulators throughout the world. In respect to our interns, we are focused on developing excellent people who work collaboratively to add real value, by providing our interns with high-quality legal experience and daily exposure to broader business skills. You could find yourself working alongside other advisers within OBS – such as Tax advisers, HR advisers, and Commercial Management. The wide range of experience we expose our interns to is what makes OBS a really exciting place to gain good quality legal experience.
The Successful Applicant
To apply, you will need to have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Law and/or have completed the Legal Practice Course/Graduate Diploma in Law.

Our team: Our legal team is truly international with more than 90 lawyers in over 20 countries – diverse in culture and experience. We employ many different specialists, both lawyers and non-lawyers and have a wide range of teams focusing on a variety of areas. What we can offer: You will be dealing with legal issues that an international telecommunications provider could face from day-to-day. As well as assisting in the reviewing and drafting of commercial contracts, you will help with contract interpretation and matters relating to data protection and company law.
